A Film Unit (in which pupils create their own short film) is taught as part of KS3 English

BRIEF OVERVEW OF KS5 CURRICULUM & WEBLINKS

AS Level : Two pieces of coursework (an essay analysing a three minutes section of film) and a creative project (creating a storyboard of 25 shots). Exam is 2hrs 15 mins and is 3 essays: one on the film industry in general, one of films produced by Working Title and another comparing two films

A2: Two pieces of coursework (a research project and a five page screenplay creative project). Exam is 2hrs and 45 mins and is 3 essays: one on emotional response to horror films, one on empowering women (Nikita and Volver) and the other a critical analysis on Hitchcock’s Vertigo
