At Sacred Heart of Mary Girls’ School we use a cashless system in our dining room for the School meal service. The system provides a more efficient and faster quality of service. It is more secure and, as parents, you can access full your child’s daily purchase history.

Our selected partner for this project are Sharp Electronics, one of the world’s largest electronic companies. The new system will use the latest biometric technology which will eliminate the need to carry a card or cash within school; it scans a thumb/finger at the till and debits the relevant account.  Monies will need to be credited to your daughter’s accounts before purchases can be made.  Online payments can be made using our internet payment scheme – details will follow once we have received the attached permission slip back at school as new legislation recently introduced states an ‘opt in’ arrangement and therefore requires you to complete a consent form.

If you choose not to have your child registered on the system then a pin number will be issued to be used at the till via a numeric pin pad.  If you choose not to ‘opt in’ then the school will provide a pin number as an alternative.  Please complete the attached form return to Mrs K Jones in the School’s Finance Office at your earliest convenience.

This is only a brief overview however if you have any queries please feel free to contact Mrs Austin [email protected] who will be happy to help with any questions you may have.
