What will my daughter learn at KS4?

Year 10

Pupils will learn about how to create a safe environment for children between birth & 5 years of age. They will also study the child’s nutritional needs through this age phase too.
Pupils will use their knowledge to complete a number of coursework tasks based on a task set by the exam board.

Year 11

Pupils will complete a practical based piece of coursework, which focuses on the developmental norms of a young child, completing observations and planning potential practical activities that the child could complete.
Pupils will also take a written exam at the end of year 11 which is based upon a number of topics centred around the health and wellbeing of a child.
