Sacred Heart of Mary Girls’ School is one of the top performing post-16 providers locally.

This success is due to the partnership between highly committed staff and pupils and an ethos underpinned by the school motto “Ut Vitam Habeant” encouraging all pupils to be the best that they can be and ‘Live life to the full’.

In addition to this our pupils are provided with opportunities to develop holistically as an individual. This could be through our enrichment activity programme, for example PE, Music, Drama, IT skills; participation in Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme; developing leadership and mentoring skills as prefects; attending one of our many overseas trips, for example Geography trip to Iceland, History trip to Poland, Art trip to Paris, MFL work experience in Italy, Ecology trip to Zanzibar.

Pupils can continue to develop their faith journey through our links with BCYS and Walsingham House, becoming a member of the Chaplaincy Team or a Eucharistic Minister.

We have a dedicated Sixth Form block where the majority of lessons take place – unless they are lessons which require specialist rooms. In addition to this we have the Independent Study Centre; this is a silent study space fully equipped with computers and books to allow pupils to use their study periods without being disturbed.

We look forward to you joining us for your continued journey.
